A Unique Approach to Caregiving

At Salus, we don't view caregiving as a piecemeal service where all we do is supply a warm body to help your loved ones and then send you a bill. We are not only caring for a family member in need, but we are also involved with entire families who are looking to us for guidance and as well as caregiving.

We embrace the whole world of caregiving, not just an isolated part of it. And that has resulted in our recent launch of The Salus Starting Point, a unique program that leverages our extensive knowledge of what is involved in a caregiving situation, emotionally, physically and financially.

That's what the Salus Touch is about. And that's what makes us unique.

Care Managers at Salus are the essential glue that bonds everyone together in a caregiving relationship. They bring to together the family, the adult children, the Seniors, and the caretakers into one cohesive team.

Our Salus Care managers come from extensive caretaking backgrounds, having served as hospital case managers, nurses and social workers. They conduct the assessment interviews, recommend the services needed and are constantly monitoring the status of the caregiver/client relationship.

Many care providers do not assign Care Managers to their teams. We feel that the Care Manager is an indispensible part of the Salus caregiving process.

"How will I pay for this?' and "What happens next?' are two of the most frequently asked questions that we have heard. So often, we are confronted with a caregiving situation with absolutely no knowledge or exposure to what is involved.

As a caregiving company, we are exposed to these challenges on a daily basis. And we have learned that our clients are not just looking for a caregiver, but also for a trusted advisor to help them navigate through the complicated process of caring for a loved one.

We implemented The Salus Starting Point program to help our clients with the "total solution" of caregiving. In a time when answers are needed fast, we often do not have the time or energy to research the options. Our program is designed to give unbiased advice that will help families to meet the immediate needs as well as long term ones.

Salus is committed to setting the benchmark for training of our caregivers. We conduct regular in house training as well as providing our clients with caregivers who have gone through an extensive screening and hiring process. Our caregivers are:

  • Given thorough background checks for criminal and/or DMV violations
  • Trained in caregiving techniques
  • Insured and bonded
  • Matched to your preferences
  • Monitored to insure reliability and dependability
  • English speaking
  • TB Tested
  • Warranted for Compatibility
  • CNAs, HHAs or Companion
  • Covered by Professional Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation
  • Hired, Managed and Paid directly by Salus Homecare

Always there means more than just answering an email. It means you are willing to go the extra mile to help a client in need. It means you are never completely at rest, always ready to respond with speed and accuracy.

Our dedication to you goes 24/7, 365 days a year. No matter what time of day, or night, your call will be answered by a live human voice, always ready to help.

With our "right sized" company, we have an efficient communications system that keeps our Case Managers in touch with our clients whenever the need arises. And we have dedicated staffers who are committed to an immediate response.

That's why when we say Salus is "always there" we really mean it.

"Our Salus caregiver is irreplaceable. She's never complained and she takes care of Beth's every need without ever being asked or reminded."

"We consider her a member of our family; a member we could never get along without."
